Internet2 is the foremost U.S. advanced networking consortium. Led by the research and education community since 1996, Internet2 promotes the missions of its members by providing both leading-edge network capabilities and unique partnership opportunities that together facilitate the development, deployment and use of revolutionary Internet technologies.

By bringing research and academia together with technology leaders from industry, government and the international community, Internet2 promotes collaboration and innovation that has a fundamental impact on the future of the Internet.

The Quilt

The Quilt, a coalition of 28 advanced regional network organizations, is a dynamic forum where leaders from throughout the advanced research and education network community build on the intellectual capital and best practices of network service providers worldwide. Based on the participants' combined experiences in operations and development of leading edge technologies, the Quilt aims to influence the national agenda on information technology infrastructure, with particular emphasis on networking. Through this coalition, the Quilt promotes delivery of networking services at lower cost, higher performance and greater reliability and security. The Quilt derives support and funding from a diverse base, including participants, federal agencies, and partners. It also relies on significant volunteer contributions from its participants.

MAGPI is a member of The Quilt.

European University Information Systems (EUNIS)

EUNIS was founded in 1993 with the following objectives: To encourage communication, collaboration and co-operation between those responsible for information systems in higher education and research institutions and organizations in Europe; To liaise with the major suppliers in this field and represent the interests of higher education; To liaise with organizations setting the strategic agenda for information systems in higher education and research at national and European level.

MAGPI is a Member by Correspondence of EUNIS.

Penn Video Productions

Penn Video Productions offers a full set of video-related services such as video production, distribution, encoding/streaming, and conferencing to University of Pennsylvania and non-university content providers.

MAGPI partners with Penn Video Productions on many exciting collaborations.

The Gerda and Kurt Klein Foundation

The Gerda and Kurt Klein Foundation, which became operational in 1998, promotes tolerance for differences, respect for others and the empowerment of students through education and community service. Kurt’s unexpected death on April 19, 2002 was a shock to all; but Gerda is committed to carrying on and so are all of us who believe in their dream.

MAGPI is a technology partner with the Gerda and Kurt Klein Foundation creating several exciting programs that help bring Gerda Klein’s message to students and communities around the world.

The Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC)

The Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) is an organization of science centers and museums dedicated to furthering the public understanding of science among increasingly diverse audiences. ASTC encourages excellence and innovation in informal science learning by serving and linking its members worldwide and advancing their common goals. ASTC provides professional development for the science center field, promotes best practices, supports effective communication, strengthens the position of science centers within the community at large, and fosters the creation of successful partnerships and collaborations.

MAGPI is a technology partner with ASTC helping to bring innovative interactive programs to students and the community via science centers and universities.

Druid Media

Druid Media creates and produces digital networked video, interactive content, and video-based web projects. Druid Media also  curates and produces digital film and digital media art screenings for museums and film festivals.

MAGPI partnered with Druid Media on a project that leveraged Access Grid technology for bringing together student teams from around the world toward creation of a unique and innovative Game Film.

Fabian Baber Communication Productions

Fabian-Baber, Inc. is a communication consulting and educational media production company. They work with MAGPI client-partners to develop engaging, cost-effective educational programs for video, web, and DVD. Many of their projects consist of multiple modules and are suitable for use as stand-alone curriculum across a typical 13-week semester. Fabian Baber can produce media to complement existing textbook and web resources.
