IPv6 Workshop - CANCELLED

Hosted by MAGPI and the University of Pennsylvania
Target Audience:
MAGPI member institution network and/or technical staff.
Cost:
$450 for Internet2 Members and $650 for non-Internet2 Members.

This workshop has been cancelled. If you are interested in attending a future rescheduled IPv6 Workshop co-hosted by MAGPI and UPENN please send an email to info@magpi.net.

MAGPI and the University of Pennsylvania are hosting an Internet2 hands-on IPv6 Workshop. The workshop dates are October 4th-6th 2010:

   * Monday 10/4, 1:00pm - 5:00pm
   * Tuesday 10/5, 8:30am - 5:00pm
   * Wednesday 10/6, 8:30am - 12:00pm

Initially, members of MAGPI member institutions will be eligible to attend the workshop. If all spots are not filled, another announcement will then go out to the rest of the Internet2 community. Network engineers and/or other technical staff who might be interested in attending can get more information about registration, lodging, fees, etc at: http://www.internet2.edu/workshops/ipv6/2010/1010.html

Participants will design and set up a functioning IPv6 network. This network will be connected to the Internet2 IPv6 network, and thus to the rest of the global IPv6 network. Both external and internal routing will be configured. Using IPv6 transition tools, participants will also gateway between the workshop IPv6 network and the global IPv4 internet.

It is our expectation that, after having experienced one workshop as a student, an attendee will be able to engineer IPv6 networks within his/her campus or gigaPoP, to explain IPv6 engineering concepts to peers, and, in some cases, to help teach or facilitate future IPv6 workshops.
