A country devastated by famine and drought and Aldo Magazzeni's effort to make a difference for world peace led him on the road to activism in Kenya. Over the past four years, Aldo's engagement in Kenya has provided him with opportunities to create relationships with communities in this country, bringing down cultural and political barriers in an effort to help those in need.
"Trust your intentions to do something to help others and let your relationships with the community guide you to discover their most important needs. Using your life gifts (your privileged assets) education, health, and financial to partner with those of the communities. " - Aldo Magazzeni, Traveling Mercies
Aldo Magazzeni's road to activism in Kenya has offered him opportunities to help build a self-sustaining village on 1000 acres for 1000 orphans and 100 grandmothers, victims of the HIV virus. He was able to install a water system providing life to the people and the earth. He took on another project supplying a clean water well system to a high school and community in Nairobi in partnership with the Rotary. This year the road has lead Aldo to the rural community in Kitui, a devastated drought area. Here, Aldo has formed as association, a cooperative for over twenty villages to install a water well, solar panels, and a drip irrigation system whereby all of the communities can form together and distribute the food grown from this system to their villages. Excess food will be sold at a market, by creating a business operated by the women and the profits given to the village widows for their needs.
Travel this road with Aldo into Kenya through the images, stories and video he has captured. See how you can discover your intentions and apply them somewhere in life to help others. Everyone has the ability to travel the road to activism and make this world a better, more equal human experience.
