MAGPI's 21st Century Educator Video Contest - Win a scholarship to virtually attend the ISTE 2010 Conference from MAGPI!

Can't travel to the ISTE Conference (formerly NECC Conference) in Denver this summer? Are you a MAGPI member? Enter our 21st Century Educator video contest to win a scholarship to attend the ISTE 2010 conference from our remote site in Philadelphia!

We're sponsoring 20 teachers/tech facilitators virtual attendance at the conference on June 29th from our studio at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Participants will hear the conference keynote speaker, participate in an interactive workshop, virtually tour the conference areas via video, and participate in two concurrent conference sessions. Winners MUST provide their own laptop and take care of their own travel costs. We will be providing breakfast and lunch -  - and you'll have ample time to pick the brains of MAGPI staffers about using technology in your classroom!

In order to enter, you must create a 60 second video that addresses the following question:

"Who is the 21st Century Educator?"

Your video should include:

  • Your thoughts on the question: "Who is the 21st Century Educator?"
  • How MAGPI has helped you become a 21st Century Educator
  • Why you would like to attend ISTE 2010 from MAGPI's remote site
  • Why you should be selected as one of our 20 attendees

After your video is completed, please upload it to YouTube. Then complete the online contest registration form, which asks for the video link.

We will be posting the videos to a YouTube playlist. The videos with the highest ratings will be selected as winners - - so spread the word!! Get your friends and colleagues to log on, watch and "like" your video!

This contest is open to any educator, administrator, technologist or tech support staff at any MAGPI member institution.

Videos must be uploaded and forms must be completed by midnight on June 1st. We'll be tallying the votes on June 6th, and announcing winners on June 7th! Winners will be posted on our website at http://www.magpi.net and notified via email. The sooner you get your video posted, the more time you have to collect votes.

Please note that all submitted videos become the property of MAGPI. Good luck!
